HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STUDY
For this study, I want to talk to 3 groups of participants: young people (aged 14-26) who are autistic and transgender, parents/guardians of autistic transgender adolescents, and healthcare providers who administer gender transition-related care to adolescents.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if:

You are a young person between the ages of 14 and 26

You are autistic and identify as transgender

You are actively pursuing or receiving medical treatment for gender dysphoria (including mental health treatment)
OR
-
You are the parent or guardian of a young person (aged 14-26) who is autistic and transgender

Your child is actively pursuing or receiving medical treatment for gender dysphoria (including mental health treatment)
OR
-
You are a healthcare professional (such as a physician, nurse, physician's assistant, mental health professional, etc.)

You provide treatment related to gender dysphoria and gender transition, including mental health treatment
-
Your practice includes adolescents and young adults between the ages of 14 and 26

Healthcare professionals will NOT be asked any questions pertaining to information about individual patients or clients. The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences, beliefs, and attitudes of all 3 participant groups.

Interviews can be conducted in-person if possible, or online via the meeting platform Zoom.
